Ingredients
  

1 cup of milk 2 tablespoons of butter 2 tablespoons of flour 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk well to avoid any lumps. Continue stirring for 1-2 minutes until the mixture forms a smooth paste.Slowly pour in the milk while stirring continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.Once it starts to simmer, lower the heat and let it cook for 3-5 minutes until it thickens.Add the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using), and continue stirring until the cheese has fully melted and the sauce is smooth.Serve immediately with fries or any dish of your choice.
